About BeTech Academy

History

 

BeTech Academy was founded in 2019 on the vision of Yasifur Rahman, who has a strong belief in learning through experience. Mr. Rahman has an extensive background in various business segments, including IT, Healthcare, Supply Management, and Travel. Through his experience in running companies and working with software development teams, he noticed a lack of qualified individuals for positions in the field and skill gaps in individuals who were selected to fill positions. 

BeTech Academy aims to address and bridge these gaps and increase the number of qualified individuals available to fill industry roles. In addition, BeTech Academy desires to empower the immigrant community and minority populations in the US and keen learners across the globe. Immigrants, Third world countries often have excellent skills but their credentials may not be recognized in the US, and minority populations do not always have equal access to education. In serving these communities, BeTech Academy can both give back to the community and pay it forward to the IT industry by ensuring a supply of qualified employees. 

BeTech Academy was fortunate to find like-minded individuals like Dr. Gerald Williams and Dr. Lynn Carter. They shared the same belief in experiential learning and building the curriculum for Quality Assurance & Software Testing (QAST) Program.

Why BeTech Academy

BeTech Academy is not a typical vocational school or Bootcamp.

We identify ourselves as a Center of Experience (CoE) as we believe in learning through experience where YOU will learn by working on real-life projects and building your portfolio.  Prospective Engineers will learn, with the support of experienced professionals in the field. Each module will represent the necessary skills in a format similar to what software engineers do daily. 

We will prepare you for your first job interview by helping you build your resume based on your portfolio, applying and interviewing, along with support and assistance in looking for employers.  Our success depends on getting your first job as an Engineer. Our goal is “Happy Employer.” 

We do not believe in limited engagements. We build relationships.  Our support does not end with completing a program or a module, but with supporting you throughout your career. We believe in our program’s constant self-assessment and evolving upgrading the material and learning to be synchronous with the market.

How it Works

Instructors will represent Managers, Mentors, and Advisors, such as you would experience on the Job.

Our ultimate goal is for you to succeed as a software engineer. We teach you to be problem-solving professionals who are career-ready. 

Once you complete the Program, you will receive one (1) month of interview preparation readying you for the market.  We will conduct internal interviews based on over 300+ repositories of the most frequently asked questions.  Once ready, we will walk you through submitting your resume to various job sites. 

Simultaneously, we have strategic relationships placement agencies who will be looking for employment on your behalf.  At times, internal projects may open up opportunities for you to join the team.  We are also working with industry professionals for internships within the organization. 

In short, once you join the QAST Program and take it to its completion, we will employ all our efforts to get you employment if you are within the US.
